“The two major differences between Bailout Buddy and other systems; first is that it is hands free…the second is that is has cable rather than rope…steel cable is certainly stronger and more durable than rope”
Battalion Chief John Salka, FDNY
“Cable is just safer than rope”
Deputy Chief Robert Cobb, Jersey City Fire Department
“The fact that a fire fighter that had very little to no training was able to throw himself out of a three story window and successfully come down to the ground in a controlled manner is fantastic”
Deputy Chief, (Ret.) Michael Smith, Washington DC Fire Department

The first hands-free steel cable personal bailout system designed with and for firefighters – is the bailout device you need.
The BAILOUT BUDDY DIFFERENCE:
True hands-free system – Can carry others down if needed
Uses steel cable, rather than rope, to withstand fire temperatures.
Automatically controls the firefighter’s descent speed to reach safety below the fire floor.
The “Buddy for Life”SM Program offers free lifetime replacement if the Bailout Buddy is used to bailout of a fire situation.
Peace of mind knowing that you can escape quickly.
Requires amazingly little training – as the Bailout Buddy is so easy to use, only familiarity training is necessary.
The design of Bailout Buddy was inspired by the tragic events of 9/11/01 and designed with input from the firefighting community. Life-Pack sought the input of nationally recognized fire safety experts to help design a system that can truly serve you even in the worst bailout situations.
Life-Pack’s product design team combined their expertise with the input of firefighters that had survived actual, life-threatening bailout experiences. Some of these firefighters not only had to save themselves but also had to help a victim or fallen partner. In these situations, a true hands-free system, Bailout Buddy, is the only answer.
Life-Pack also found that a firefighter in an upper story flash over has only a few seconds to get out ; those few seconds could mean the difference between a safe escape and serious injury, or worse.
